Cottage Cheese Salad
A crisp, refreshing salad built around high-protein cottage cheese and lean turkey ham, with cucumber, radishes, tomatoes, and chives. Light, quick, and no cooking required.
Why this works on GLP-1
Cottage cheese is quietly one of the best high-protein staples: it delivers a generous amount of protein for very few calories, so a good scoop carries most of a meal's protein without much bulk. On GLP-1 medication that suits perfectly, since appetite is lower and protein helps protect lean muscle during weight loss.
The crunchy vegetables add fibre, freshness, and colour for almost no calories, and lean turkey ham lifts the protein higher while keeping the plate light. It comes together in minutes with no cooking at all.

Method
Prep the vegetables. Dice the cucumber, thinly slice the radishes, and halve the cherry tomatoes. Finely chop the chives.
Combine. Spoon the cottage cheese into a bowl and add the prepared vegetables and the sliced turkey ham. Season with black pepper, a little salt, and a squeeze of lemon, going easy on the salt since the turkey ham is already salty.
Finish and serve. Scatter over the chives and add any optional walnut oil drizzle or chilli flakes. Eat slowly to gauge fullness on a reduced appetite.
Approximate nutrition per serving
Makes one serving. Cottage cheese and turkey ham together provide the protein. Turkey ham is a salty processed meat, so keep added salt low. Figures vary with whether you use low-fat or full-fat cottage cheese.
