Questions about nutrition, GLP-1s and Evoren?
Clear answers to common questions about eating well on GLP-1 medication, protecting muscle and strength, building healthier habits and choosing the right level of Evoren support.
Choosing the right GLP-1 nutrition support.
Evoren offers three levels of support: a guided programme, personalised coaching to build your own strategy, or high-touch support where much more of the planning is handled for you.
Which Evoren GLP-1 programme is right for me?
Choose The GLP-1 Success Method™ if you want a structured 12-week self-coaching programme with practical tools you can work through independently.
Choose 1:1 Nutrition Coaching if you want a 12-week personalised programme that starts with six weeks of intensive 1:1 coaching, followed by six weeks of supported independence to help you confidently apply what you have built.
Choose Premium Coaching if you want our highest level of support: a 12-week high-touch Premium coaching programme with twice-weekly private sessions, personalised planning and proactive adjustment, with much more of your nutrition, meals, movement and real-life planning handled for you.
Can I use Evoren if I already take Ozempic®, Wegovy® or Mounjaro®?
Yes. Evoren's nutrition and lifestyle support can be used alongside GLP-1 medication including Ozempic®, Wegovy® and Mounjaro®.
Our focus is what happens around your treatment: eating well with a smaller appetite, meeting your nutritional needs, protecting muscle and strength and building healthier habits.
Do I need to be new to GLP-1 medication?
No. You can start at different stages of your GLP-1 journey. Whether you have recently started treatment or have been taking GLP-1 medication for some time, the aim is to help you improve what you are doing from where you are now.
Do you prescribe or sell Ozempic®, Wegovy® or Mounjaro®?
No. Evoren Health provides nutrition and lifestyle education and coaching. We do not prescribe or supply GLP-1 medication, recommend changes to your dose or replace the care of your prescribing clinician.
What if I'm not sure which level of support I need?
You can book a free consultation to discuss where you are now, what you would like help with and whether self-coaching, 1:1 Nutrition Coaching or Premium Coaching is the better fit.

What should I eat while taking GLP-1 medication?
Focus on making the food you are able to eat nutritionally useful. Build meals around protein-rich foods, vegetables and fruit, whole grains or other fibre-rich carbohydrates, and healthy fats according to your appetite and tolerance.
Because GLP-1 medication can reduce appetite considerably, smaller meals may feel more manageable than large portions. Prioritising nutrient-dense foods becomes particularly important when you are eating less overall.
What should I eat when I have very little appetite on GLP-1 medication?
When your appetite is low, smaller nutrient-dense meals and snacks can be easier to manage than trying to eat a large meal.
Prioritise protein and other nutrient-rich foods first. Foods such as eggs, Greek yoghurt, cottage cheese, fish, lean poultry, beans or lentils can help you get more nutrition from a smaller amount of food.
Should I skip meals if I'm not hungry on GLP-1 medication?
A much smaller appetite can make it easy to go long periods without eating, but consistently eating too little can make it harder to meet your protein, vitamin, mineral and overall nutritional needs.
Smaller regular meals or snacks may be more manageable when hunger is low. If you are struggling to eat or drink enough, or your symptoms are persistent, speak with your healthcare professional.
How can I stay hydrated while taking GLP-1 medication?
Drink regularly throughout the day rather than relying only on thirst. Keeping water nearby, using a reusable bottle and building drinking into your normal routine can make hydration easier to maintain.
Your individual fluid needs vary, and some medical conditions require specific fluid advice. If your clinician has given you a fluid target, follow their recommendation.
Protecting muscle while losing weight.
Why is protein important when taking GLP-1 medication?
When your appetite and overall food intake decrease, it can become harder to eat enough protein. Protein helps support muscle maintenance, recovery and many other functions throughout the body.
Prioritising protein-rich foods can help you make a smaller appetite work harder nutritionally, particularly during active weight loss.
How much protein do I need while taking Ozempic®, Wegovy® or Mounjaro®?
There is no single protein target that is right for everyone taking GLP-1 medication. Your needs can vary according to factors including body size, age, activity, health and stage of weight loss.
Rather than relying on a generic number, use a target appropriate to your circumstances. Evoren provides a free protein calculator to help you establish a practical starting point.
Can you lose muscle while losing weight on GLP-1 medication?
Weight loss can include both fat mass and lean mass, including muscle. This is one reason Evoren focuses on more than the number on the scales.
Adequate nutrition, sufficient protein and regular strength or resistance exercise are important considerations when the goal is to maintain muscle and physical function during weight loss.
How can I protect muscle while losing weight on GLP-1 medication?
Make protein a regular part of your meals and combine good nutrition with appropriate resistance or strength-based activity.
Protein alone is not the whole answer. Your muscles also need a reason to remain strong, which is why movement and resistance exercise are part of Evoren's approach alongside nutrition.
Should I exercise while taking GLP-1 medication?
Regular physical activity can support health, fitness and long-term weight management. Strength or resistance-based activity is particularly relevant when you are trying to preserve muscle during weight loss.
The right level of activity depends on your health, current fitness and individual circumstances. If you have medical limitations or are unsure what is appropriate, speak with your healthcare professional before changing your exercise routine.
Making healthy choices work in real life.
How do I plan meals when my appetite changes from day to day?
Plan around flexible building blocks rather than assuming you will want exactly the same amount of food every day. Keep easy protein options available, use smaller portions when needed and have simple meals you can prepare when your appetite is low.
The GLP-1 Success Method™ includes a personalised 7-day meal planner and automatic shopping list to make weekly planning easier.
What can I eat when dining out while taking GLP-1 medication?
Look for meals that give you a useful source of protein and allow you to adjust the portion to your appetite. Grilled fish, chicken, eggs, tofu or other protein-rich dishes with vegetables can often provide a practical starting point.
You do not need to avoid restaurants. The aim is to make choices that work with your appetite and nutritional priorities while still enjoying normal life.
Do I need a nutrition coach while taking GLP-1 medication?
Not everyone needs individual coaching. Some people are comfortable working independently once they have a clear structure, while others benefit from personalised guidance and accountability.
That is why Evoren offers different levels of support, from the guided GLP-1 Success Method™ through to 1:1 and Premium Coaching.
How do I build healthy habits while taking GLP-1 medication?
Focus on repeatable behaviours rather than trying to change everything at once. Protein at meals, regular hydration, planned food choices, appropriate movement and simple weekly routines can become habits that require less conscious effort over time.
The GLP-1 Success Method™ uses a 12-week structure to help you build these behaviours progressively rather than trying to perfect everything immediately.
