Protein Berry Smoothie

A thick, creamy berry smoothie built on Greek yoghurt and protein powder. High in protein, quick to blend, and easy to sip when eating a full meal feels like too much.

Why this works on GLP-1

Some mornings on GLP-1 medication, appetite is so low or nausea is present enough that a plate of food feels like too much. A smoothie is a gentle answer: it delivers a full serving of protein in a form that is easy to sip slowly, which helps protect lean muscle during weight loss even when solid food does not appeal.

Greek yoghurt and protein powder do the heavy lifting on protein, while berries add fibre, antioxidants, and natural sweetness for very little. Blending it thick and drinking it slowly, rather than gulping, tends to sit more comfortably when appetite is delicate.

Method

  1. Add to the blender. Put the Greek yoghurt, protein powder, berries, and milk into a blender.

  2. Blend. Blend until smooth and thick. Add a little more milk to loosen, or ice, oats, or chia to thicken, until the texture is how you like it.

  3. Serve and sip. Pour into a glass and sip slowly rather than drinking it down quickly, which sits more comfortably when appetite is low. If you like, add a handful of spinach before blending for extra nutrients without changing the flavour much.
