Beef Fajitas
Sizzling strips of lean beef with charred peppers and onion, wrapped in wholemeal tortillas. High in protein, full of flavour, and easy to build to your appetite.
Why this works on GLP-1
Lean beef strips are protein-dense and rich in iron and B12, so a modest portion carries a lot of protein. On GLP-1 medication that suits well, since appetite is lower but protein needs stay high to help protect lean muscle during weight loss. Fajitas also let you control the portion easily, filling one wrap or two to match how hungry you are.
Peppers and onion add fibre, sweetness, and colour for very little, and wholemeal wraps bring a little extra fibre. Topping with salsa or Greek yoghurt rather than soured cream keeps it light while still feeling like a treat.

Sear the beef. Toss the beef strips with the fajita spices. Heat 1 tsp of avocado oil in a pan over high heat and sear the beef for 2 to 3 minutes, until browned. Remove and set aside so it stays tender.
Char the vegetables. Add the peppers and onion to the hot pan and stir-fry for 4 to 5 minutes, until softened and lightly charred at the edges.
Combine. Return the beef and any juices to the pan and toss together for a minute until hot and coated in the spices.
Build and serve. Warm the wraps, then fill with the beef and vegetables. Top with salsa, Greek yoghurt, lime, or a little avocado, roll up, and eat slowly to gauge fullness on a reduced appetite.
