Beef Stir Fry
A fast, high-protein dinner in one pan. Lean beef strips, a ready stir-fry veg mix, and noodles tossed in a light savoury sauce, on the table in about 15 minutes.
Why this works on GLP-1
Lean beef is protein-dense and rich in iron and B12, which makes it a strong dinner choice on GLP-1 medication, where appetite is lower and protein needs stay high to help protect lean muscle during weight loss. A modest portion of beef carries a lot of protein for the space it takes on the plate.
Using a ready stir-fry vegetable mix keeps this genuinely quick on a low-energy evening, and edamame is an easy way to add extra protein and fibre for more staying power. Keep the sauce light, since bottled stir-fry sauces can be high in sugar and salt.

Method
Stir-fry the beef. Heat 1 tsp of oil in a wok or large pan over high heat. Add the beef strips in a single layer and stir-fry for 2 to 3 minutes, until just browned. Remove and set aside so it stays tender.
Add the vegetables. Add the stir-fry veg mix (and edamame, if using) to the hot pan with the garlic and ginger. Stir-fry for 3 to 4 minutes, until the veg is tender but still crisp.
Toss with noodles. Return the beef to the pan, add the cooked noodles and soy sauce, and toss everything together for a minute until hot and coated. Finish with sesame seeds or spring onion, and eat slowly to gauge fullness on a reduced appetite.
Approximate nutrition per serving
Makes one serving. The beef provides most of the protein; adding edamame pushes it higher. Figures vary with the cut of beef and the noodles and sauce you use.
