Turkey Wrap

A lean, high-protein lunch you can put together in minutes. Turkey breast, crisp salad, and a wholemeal wrap, light enough for a smaller appetite but genuinely filling.

Why this works on GLP-1

Turkey breast is about as lean as protein gets, so this wrap delivers a big share of your daily protein for very few calories. On GLP-1 medication that balance matters: appetite is lower, so each meal needs to carry real protein to help protect lean muscle during weight loss.

The wholemeal wrap adds a little fibre, and the lettuce and cucumber bring crunch and volume without weighing the meal down. It is portable, no-fuss, and easy to tolerate, which makes it a reliable option for busy days.

Ingredients · makes 1 serving

  • Turkey breastFresh to cook, or use pre-cooked or leftover roast turkey 150 g
  • Wholemeal wrapOne large tortilla 1
  • LettuceShredded or whole leaves a handful
  • CucumberSliced or in batons 1/4
  • Tomatoes, optionalSliced, or a few cherry tomatoes halved to taste
  • Peppers, optionalAny colour, thinly sliced to taste
  • Olive oilFor cooking, if using raw turkey 1 tsp
  • OptionalGreek yoghurt with a splash of sriracha, stirred together as a dressing to taste

Method

  1. Cook the turkey. If using raw turkey breast, slice it thin or into strips, season with salt and pepper, and cook in 1 tsp of olive oil over medium-high heat for 4 to 6 minutes, until cooked through with no pink remaining. Skip this step if using pre-cooked turkey.

  2. Fill the wrap. Lay the wrap flat. Add a little Greek yoghurt mixed with sriracha if using, then layer the lettuce, cucumber, and turkey down the centre, adding tomatoes or peppers if using, and leaving a border at the edges.

  3. Roll. Fold in the two sides, then roll up tightly from the bottom. Slice in half on the diagonal and serve, or wrap in foil to take with you. Eat slowly to gauge fullness on a reduced appetite.
